Come for a visit

Welcome! We are excited that you have decided to come visit us and we want to make your first visit go as smoothly as possible. Here is what you can expect when attending First Baptist Church:

Our church building is located just past the western Harrington town line. We have a large, tan building with a steeple and plenty of parking. Handicapped access is available from the back parking lot at the left side of the building. Upon entering, you will be welcomed by a greeter who will direct you to the auditorium and answer any other questions you may have.

Our services are traditional. We sing classic hymns, read Scriptures aloud as a church, and prepare our hearts with prayer before the message. The morning messages are verse-by-verse Biblical preaching directly from the Bible with practical applications on how to live a life pleasing to the Lord. Sunday morning worship services begin at 11:00 AM and will generally run from an hour to an hour and fifteen minutes. We have Junior Church available during morning worship for children in kindergarten through third grade. Sunday School is also available starting at 9:30 AM. We have several classes for different age groups from preschool, to teen, and adult.

Children are a treasure from God and all ages are welcome here at our church. We provide a clean, safe nursery where your child (infant to three years old) can stay and play with one of our faithful church ladies or, if you choose, your children are welcome to stay with you during the service.

Our members and friends come from all different walks of life and dress in many different ways. Pastor Sean will be wearing a coat and tie while other's dress may range from casual to more formal. Our focus is God's focus, the heart, not what you are wearing. Come as you are, but leave changed by the Word of God.
